Hippie Movie wit Pen and Teller....4-16/ May 30

II. The main thing that we did today in class was watch this video by Pen and teller where they discuss issues like global warming with people like scientists and hippies. It was funny because it seemed like people disproving global warming were credible, while the hippies did not have a clue about global warming and stuff, and wanted to ban h2o, aka water. Then we had a really boring discussion about the video that put me to sleep..zzzzzz! Then we watched this good movie about the hutus and tutsis in Africa. It was the same story as in Hotel Rwanda. It is a very good movie so far.

III. I learned that the commander of those UN forces was wrongly portrayed in Hotel Rwanda because in that movie he is seen more as strong and brute, but in real life he is some little canadian.

IV. I would like to know how many people died in this african fighting

V. My personal opinion is that we should never have a long discussion like the one on the pen and teller video again. The reasoning is because the same people kept talking and saying the exact same things, so that equaled hella-boring. I do not personally like to sleep in ethics.

Super Size Me Finale....4-14/May 24

I. I found out that as long as the nuclear plant has been inactive, it is okay to blow up and causes no health problems.

II. Today we started out with no daily report. Then the lovely Bunny Merritt payed a visit to our Ethics class. She talked to us about the senior night and got us to sign up and bring food and drinks. She made it pretty clear that she would give any amount of enrichment points and hours. I signed up to bring steak kabobs, coke, and bottled water. I needed to get three more enrichment points. Then something excited happened....dum dum dum....we got to finish watching my very favorite Super Size Me movie. In the end, he barely finishes the diet but he does, and he gets to have a McDonalds party, lucky him! Then it said it took him like a whole year to lose all the weight he gained and get back to normal. This was mos' def' one of my favorite things of the year. Then Couillard said we must do the wksht for homework.

III. I learned that McDonalds can make you very sick

V. This movie has encouraged me to no longer eat any fast food because it is killing me slowly. But atb the same time, I know I cant do it, because i said that last year and it did not work.

Alex's Daddy Talks.....4-12/May 18

I. Alex's Dad will talk about marketing

II. The beginning of class consisted of a daily report by quigz and Kelly. I really can not really remember much about their daily report. All I do remember is that Eric said how some kind of rabbit that is extremely small is on the verge of extinction. Its called a pygmy rabbit, and unfortunately the only male one died yestarday, so there are only 2 females left, obviously meaning that can not reproduce. I will really miss the pygmy rabbit! Then we got to be photograhed by Lindsey Morgan and Tori Brock. They made us put on these black shirts and go in a dark room and they took our picture. I was so excited when we had this "photo shoot" because I am secretly a high class european model. I would have been even better off if they had a fan during pictures. I could have let my hair fly in the breeze and look pretty sweet. I gave 'em some fantabulous poses. Then when photos were all said and done, Alex's daddy talked to us about marketing. He is the VP in charge of marketing of a chain of hospitals in the area. One main thing he talked about was how certain companies made blunders in marketing. The funniest was definitely with Barbie breaking up with Ken. I remember when I heard that news, and I cried. Then he said how coke messed up with changing their formula. It was a very interesting talk

III. I never knew that a thing existed called branded house and house branding, those were very interesting terms.

IV. I would like to know what the very original coke had in it.

V. I felt that Mr. Foust's presentation on marketing was very cool. It opened my eyes to the field of marketing, and gave me a taste of what it is about. I know feel that marketing is the achilles heel to a company.

Cornell Notes are Back!!!!!!!!......4-13/ May 22

I.Coca-Cola used to have crac-cocaine in it....hence the name Coke!

II. We started off class with the usual daily report (betcha didn't guess that 1). The report was done by my future wife Kate Doyle, and the highly mature Jaclyn Montisano. One of the things they showed was some video of an old nuclear plant being blown up because it was shut down a few years ago. It was kinda cool. Then they talked about some hickish- government guy in like Louisiana who accepted bribes and hid them in his freezey. Can u say cold hard cash???? Also, there was an article about the mayoral election that took place in New Orleans. The former mayor, Ray Nagin, was reelected. This suprised me because he got myriads of criticism after the hurricane. After that, Mr. Couillard informed us on a new daily report format. We would now take notes in cornell note format on our daily reports. I am not too sure what I think of this, but I will be flexible. Though, the last time I did Cornell notes, it was with my evil 7th grade history teacher, Mrs. Gallagher. She was some stupid lady who always wore hiking boots, had a manly voice, and always had horrible coffee breath. Finally, we took the why we buy quizzes. I did ok.

III. I had no clue that stupid Ray Nagin got reelected.

IV. I'd like to know if it is dangerous concerning health, to blow up former nuclear buildings.

V. I have a very strong opinion when it comes to the mayaor of New Orleans. I believe that he did a terrible job preparing his city for hurricane Katrina, and he should not be reelected because it will happen again if he is mayor.

BLAH BLAH BLAH...4-11/May 18

I. McNuggets have over 600mg of sodium...that is very bad...can u say water retention?????

II. Today we started out with more Daily Reports. The two main articles were one on some alligator attacks and one on attacks in Brazil. I think that if people would not encroach on the darn alligators land then the problem would be solved, but u know those stupid floridians. Also, some prisoners and gang members got toghether in Brazil and are killing all these people, the question is, where are all the military personell? Then we gave Couillard our interims and he told us grades were low but i thought i was still getting an A. Then we whiteboarded all our outlines because there were not clear enough...but that was kinda boring cuz most people still jus basically put their outlines on those boards again. Then we got our grades and I had a C+, THAT suprised me, but thwn I found out that Mr. Couillard just did not have my link to my journals, wat a relief.

III. I learned that in this time of the year, gators start coming out and killin. Crikey!

IV. I want to know what Alex's dad is gunna talk about.

V. My opinion is that we should sign some type of peace treaty with the gators and then they will leave us all alone. I propose that we send them to Mexico City, because it is sinking every year, and in a matter of time. it will be underwater. Problem solved !

McD's makes peeps fat!!!!!!.....5/12: 4-10

I. Yea, rings like cost 2,000 and up..kinda scares you from getting married in my opinion!

II. We did a daily report by my man Hunter Terry and weird ol' Harrison Keeler. In my opinion they both talked way too long and lost me after 2 secs. Also, Couillard was absent and we had some lady who doesn't really walk much. O well! Hunter like talked about tax cuts and I didn't really understanmd their point, I did not know if they were good or bad. Then some leadership sophys came in and talked about the spaghetti dinner. They really didn't tell me anything interesting, and we didn't even get to watch their video, because they are dumb sophys who can't work a projector. Then we watched a great movie, Supersize Me. It is about some guy who guys on a McDiet, and to think that we would not have watched it without my technological help. Nobody knew how to work that projector, but i went up there and got that baby working in no time.

III. I learned that you can gain 15 pounds from eating McDonalds in a week.

IV. I would like to know how much sodium is in the McNuggets, becuz those thing taste like they got a hell of a lot of sodium.

V. I think that it is a bad idea to ever eat McDonalds again. Who would want to eat all that fattening food when all it does for you is make you obese. I makes me wanna be a vegaterian for the rest of my life.

I. Okay, so arsenic is alright to be in water...who knew??????

II. We started off with a daily report by Kevin and Kaitlin. Two articles they had were about some guy getting a CIA position which I don't care about, and then some women suing he former workplace because she got spanked like during a game or something. It sounded LIKE complete hogwash to me...i mean suing over a little spank!?!?!? So then we whiteboarded questions from the Persuaders, which i forgot to finish, because in other classes teachers think that you are hmwork doing robots. Geez! Then we talked about diamonds, dont ask me why. Mr. Couillard asked us how much a diamond engagement ring should cost and I shouted out that it should not matter if you love them, but i was wrong. I learned it should cost three months salary, random. Then we handed out our handouts, and I prolly didnt even get em all because they were going every which way, and I had no clue what to grab. O well. Then Quiggz decided to fart which was a bad idea. The back of the class was like dying, and then Jaclyn thoughht she could be a smart-alec and tell us to shut up. But man it smelled for like 15 minutes. Yuck!!! We also got an intro on bullshi'ite. It was kinda weird but we just discussed the difference between b'sing and lying.

III. Well I learned that Eric should never fart ever again in Ethics class.

IV. I wont to know what the average price of engagement rings these days.

V. My opinion is that should be some school rule about farting in Ethics class. The rule should be if you fart you get beaten up and thrown out the window, and then should be tied up and thrown into the river. I wonder if that would work...jk jk???

MY DP AND OTHER STUFF...5/8: 4-8

I. Jim Rome is burning still comes on!!!!!! :(

II. Well I got to do the Daily Report today without a wingman. I did summarizations of Iran threating to pull out of their stupid nuclear treaty, a ferry crash in San Francisco, Steve Nash winning MVP, and some Australians trapped in a mine. After I did my saweet daily report Mr. Couillard gave us these sheets that discussed different ways to use language in political talking. Our article had something to do with arsenic in water, and personally everyone in the group had no clue what it was talking about because we are not smart..jk jk.

III. I learned that one of the things the miners werre sent were ipods. SAWEET!

IV. I'd like to know why arsenic in the water?

V. My opinion is that maybe I should go get rapped in a mine shaft. I mean, if they stick you in some mine and then send you down things like ipods and magazines, that is sweet. Especially if you get to keep the Ipod.

I. Well, all the places I looked said different prices, so I'll take a guess and say $4.57.

II. Today we started out with some Daily Report action. It was done by the lovely Britney Smith and Mr Mean Joe Golding. Thwo main parts of their Daily report were on that Crazy @$$ Mouiisaui guy and some sweet theme park. Mouissaui was senteced to life in prison with no parole, thank goodness, for being convicted as a part of the 9/11 attacks. Then we learned about some communist theme park in Lithuania. The only thing is, what the heck would the rides be....Stalin's Iron Fist?!?!? Then Mr. Couillard showed us some sweet site where you can see how famous certain people are. And, we talked about sighting famous people. I said I had saw the late great Johnie Cochran, famous for the Chewbaca defense and if the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit!!!! Then we said Mr Couillard looked like Jim Rome and insisted he pull up a picture of Jim Rome. He took off his glasses stood next to the picture, and low and behold, he was Jim Rome's twin! Classic class...just the way I like it.

III. I learned some body is actually stupid enough to make a communist them park...can u say crackhead??

IV. I would like to know if that Jim Rome is Burning show still comes on ESPN, CUZLAST TIME I CHECKED IT SUXED!!!!

V. My opinion on giving that Mouissai guy life in prison is that it is a great idea. The reason why is because those crazy sons of u know whats do not mind dying. They think if you die, then you are a martyr. Well...all i gotta say is he can waste his life away in prison and get beat up by inmates, which i hope happens, because he will learn that karma is something you do not mess with.

DAILY REPORTAGEx2 (OH YEAH!!!!!!!!): 4-6 5/2/06

I. Well you know, there are so many stupid prediction about wat year is doomsday for the World because of global warming. Therefore, I will be a conservative and say, "Global warming?!?!?!? What the heck is that? There is no such thing!"

II. The first daily report today was with steven lester and joanna chaplin. The main thing they talked about were rising oil prices(which brings a tear to my poor little eyes) and the boycott of many latino immigrants from work, in order to prevent the passing of harsh bills against immigrants. Then, we had Ms. Foust do her daily report. Basically, she talked about the problems with Darfur and how there is a mass genocide going on there. So we just discussed those issues for a little while. Finally, we went on to finish my favorite movie ever!!!!!!!!!! The Persuaders!!!!:) Personally, I really hate that movie because it is boring and it talks about advertising items, even though I would never fall for that crappy adverstising.

III. I learned that by watching persuaders, I know know the dirty evil tricks of big corporate executives!!

IV. I want to know what the highest price that gas has ever been is?

V. I have a strong opinion regarding the whole immigration issue. My opinion is that immigrants should be allowed to come to the US as long as they follow two stipulations. First, they must pay some form of legalized tax to make them legal, and to make it fair. Secondly, they must always be working. I think that would really work. Also, I think that immigrants are very important in our workforce. A majority of the time, they do jobs most Americans won't touch.

I WILL SAVE THE POLAR BEARS: April 28,2006/4-5

I. Yay we won the debate! I called it, call me Madame Chloe!

II. In today's class we started with not one, but two daily reports. OMG OMG OMG....I was so excited because it was 2x the fun! After that treat from heaven, we got the debate scores. Me and Hunter waited in anticipation. We cried, bit our fingernails, and cliched our fists, we were so nervous! Couillard handed us the paper we closed our eyes, looked, and saw that we won. Yippity Yay, that made my day. Stevey was not too happy...o well. Then out of nowhere Harrison said something about global warming. So Mr. Couillard whipped out this huge article about what stupid liberals say global warming can do, and how polar bears could drown. Hmmm....I think those dastardly liberals stole the script from Day After Tommorow..in the words of South Park: those bastardssss!!!!

III. I had no clue that polar bears could drown. Cant they swim!?!?!?!

IV. I would like to know what year global warming experts pick as doomsday

V. My opinion is that global warming is a natural process, and it will happen no matter what. And i feel strongly on the point that it is impossible for polar bears to drown!!!!!!!

Debate It Up!!!!!!!: April 26,2006/4-4

I. Enola Gay!!!!!!!!!

II. Unfortunately, today i cried in class. I found out we were skipping the daily reports...dang it!!!! We would be doing zwei(2) debates today. The first debate was on the issue of Nuclear Power in the US. I voted in this debate for the team supporting nuclear power because they had a better argument. Then there was a debate on the Nuclear Non-Proliferation treaty. I think that i called it a tie...no wait, the team supporting the treaty won in my opinion. It was also sad because the debates were over, I am already missing them. BOOOOOO HOOOOO HOOOOO!

III. I learned that not all countries are signed to the Nuclear Treaty thingy.

IV. I would still like to know who won my debate.

V. M opinion is that it is time to go back to advertising. Advertising is cool because you get to see ways that companies exploit consumers to make the best profits.

DEBATES KICK SOCCER BALLS (LOL).....April 24,2006/4-3

I. Well....i dnt know who won the debate yet...but i can read the future, and I garuntee that me and Hunter won (yea right!)

II. Today one of my favoritest ladies came to our class to talk about sumthin'. It was Mrs. Muth, the Coooollllest, with a capital c, guidance counselor in the land. She explained to us this new program which will mentor freshman starting next year. We will be able to fill out applications to be mentors, and I am quite interested. Then we had a daily report by none other than...drumrollll....Kaitlyn Allen. It was very good and informational. Finally, the moment we all were waiting for, another debate! Yipeee! In this debate it was on the issue on whether onr not to drop the a-bomb on Japan. Moran and Ashley debated we should have dropped the bomb, and Kevin and Charlie debated that we should not have dropped the bomb. Overall, it was a great debate. I called it a tie...i kow, i know...make up your mind...but hey it was a tough decision!

III. I learned that if the US invaded Japan in Worl War II, there probably would have been up to one million casualties. Yikees!

IV. I want to know the name of the plane that dropped one of those A-bombs...it had a cool name!

V. My opinion on the debate is that the US should have dropped the bomb on Japan. Yes it was destructive to use, but if we had waited, somebody else would have, and who knows....it could have been Japan or Germany.

I LOVE DEBATES: April 20,2006/4-2

I. I found out that Song Airlines is not doing too well right now. Not too many people know who they are, and it hurts them with the fact that their parent, Delta, is close to bankruptcy. Too Bad!

II. It was definitely an interesting day in Ethics class. It would be the first day of a few day series of debates. Because I have the nack for drawing the 2 card, my debate went first. It was going to be me and Hunter facing off against our cross table rivals- Steven, Michael, and Kenneth. Our debate would be on whether to use military intervention against nuclear facilities. Me and Hunter had to argue against intervention. It was quite funny though; me and Hunter wanted the opposing viewpoint but we still argued good on a topic we were against. After what I hope was some mad ownage on me and Hunter's behalf, we went into the hall. For all I know, they were talking crap about us!!!!!! The next debate would be on the topic of using military intervention in Iran. I voted for the team that supported military intervention, because the other team was not prepared well enough.

III. Today I learned that Iran has a level of uranium enrichment at 4%, not 3%, woopty-dooo!!!:p

IV. I would like to know who won my debate!

V. My opinion on North Korea and Iran is that we should cut the lands of these countries off from the rest of the continents and send them into some random area away from all of mankind where they cannot harm others. Maybe even Pluto!

Back to School: April 18,2006/ 4-1


I. None

II. After a full fledged fun week of spring breakage it was time to return to our dear friend Mr. Couillard. First, in light of the fact that report cards will come out soon, Mr. Couillard showed us our nine weeks grades. He showed the grades with a cat and whisker plot, which I must admit was pretty awesome. The grades looked great and I'm feeling good about my grade. Also, "COOLYARD" told us about his sweet vacation. He says he went to Newport News, Virginia, but if you ask me, i think he partied up in Cancun!!!! Then we were told that debates would start next class, and we drew cards to determine the order of the debates. Unluckily with my fate, I pulled out the worst card, so my group had to go first. I was just kinda like, "Dang!!O well...at least i can get it done with." Then, for the second time ever, we watched a movie called the Persuaders. However, since i slept during it last year, i did not mind. The movie is about advertising and how to persuade buyers to buy certain things. Today, it talked about the development of Song Airlines. Song Airlines is a more modern, new age branch of Delta Airlines. It shows how they develop their advertising and form the business. Finally, we worked a little on our debates. Me and Hunter were so "confident" ;), so we did not even talk about it.

III. Today, I learned that Song Airlines was a branch off Delta. Previously, I thought it was just a new airline from some no-name independent company.

IV. I would like to know what the current state of Song Airlines is today. Are they still going, prospering, bankrupt?

V. My opinion on Song Airlines is that it is a great idea for an airline. With the existence of all these airlines that are the same, Song stands out. Song is way more creative and eccentric, and has so many new-age ideas. It is a way of focusing on the younger groups of flyers.
